Illinois Libertarians: Champions of Freedom

Libertarians, as the name implies, value liberty. The core idea is that every person owns his or her life.

Libertarians believe that you are free to do as you choose, as long as you don't harm others.

Libertarians apply a common-sense approach to problem solving that respects and protects you and your family. For example:

• Reducing taxes dramatically would allow you to support the people and causes you value, rather than having politicians decide how to spend your money.
• Personalized solutions for education, healthcare, and retirement planning can more efficiently replace one-size-doesn't-fit-all big government programs.
• Nurturing American innovation would grow prosperity and spark real breakthroughs in areas such as new energy sources and clean environment solutions. Government bureaucracy and political meddling have the opposite effect.
• Bringing our troops home to protect America would bring us more security than an endless cycle of war and occupation.
